Kathleen Henderson - Out•takes Drawing #1
During Kathleen Henderson's exhibition at Track 16 in January 2020, she installed over a hundred and fifty "outtake" oil stick on paper drawings. What Henderson calls an "outtake" is a cutout of a larger drawing that she may have discarded completely if not for this special portion. 50% of the proceeds are going to Navajo Nation for COVID Relief. As Navajo communities and local hospitals confront COVID-19 surges, the DigDeep Navajo Water Project is bringing Navajo families clean running water
to help control the spread of the COVID-19. Navajo Nation is struggling with a high
infection rate [NY Times] and a serious lack of access to clean water [Democracy Now].
The drawings are approximately 8x10 inches. $125 from each drawing sold goes directly to this effort.
