Lynne Berman is a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Los Angeles working in primarily in drawing, and periodically in performance and installation. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at such venues as the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, Orange County Museum of Art, Center for Contemporary Art, Cincinnati, Pomona College Museum of Art, Montgomery Gallery, Torrance Art Museum, and the Swiss Cultural Institute in Rome. She was the recipient of a Los Angeles Artist Fellowship Laboratory for Public Art, the City of Los Angeles Individual Artist’s Fellowship (COLA), FOCA Curator’s Lab Award, and a Durfee Foundation grant. She was included in the exhibition Some Paintings: The Third LA Weekly Annual Biennial.Why are you participating?'Voter equality in the United States needs to be firmly established. Gerrymandering, voter purging, unequal access to polling sites, and general attempts to disenfranchise citizens of our country has been one of the most insidious means of suppressing democracy. We need to ensure an equal voting process, now more than ever, and Stacey Abrams is at the helm of this fight. I want to see her succeed to make this country a better place for everyone.'
